The product is gathered in uncontaminated areas where the terrain is carefully checked and certified.

The gathering season is very much dependend on the weather, but it goes on average from the end of May to the end of October.

Gathering
The collecting centres and warehouses are located at strategic points close to the main gathering areas, to allow the product to be processed immediately and keep its characteristics unaltered.

Hygiene and self regulation
ROM FUNGHI is actively engaged in a documented self regulation system, according to Legislative Decree 155/97 (HACCP), with reference to UNI 10854 guidelines (on HACCP based self regulation systems).

Certifications
The certifications obtained from CCPB (a certification body recognized by the Agriculture Ministry) on organic farming and the "Control of Fungorobica production line" show the very essence of the company mission: "We pick quality".   A total control of the production chain, together with the guarantee of rigorous checks and product traceability (from field to distribution), ensures all the health and safety of wholesome food.


The fresh product
is sold in small wooden crates (30x50cm and 20x30cm) or cardboard tubs in a mesh bag.
